SMART Stormwater Sensor Assembly

This is the assembly for mounting PASCO water quality sensors as seen at the SMART stormwater institute at the University of Maine in 2017. It consists of a mount which holds the sensors with friction. It holds PASCO's wired temperature, conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen water sensors. The mount threads directly onto a standard broom handle with 4 threads per inch. The threads in the model are ACME 0.75 inch diameter threads. A cable sleeve was used to hide the wiring. Zip ties were used to mount the airlink the broom handle. The cage is optional, but can be attached with zip ties to the holes on the side of the mount for additional protection of the sensors.


There are two versions of the cage. They both easily connect to the mount. The difference between the small and big cage is that the bigger cage has thicker walls and is sturdier, while the small cage is more flexible.
