The SmartAlu printer by SmartFriendz is a great machine, but it really needs a fanduct to cool down the printing zone. I adapted the system I made for the SmartrapCore (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1190481), and it works pretty fine. :)

You'll need a 12V radial fan, 2 M3x10 bolts, 2 M3x20 bolts, 4 M3 nuts, and one M4x20 bolt and nut.

The support part is designed to replace the original hot end support front part, and the whole thing is conceived to avoid any further modification to the printer original design. You'll loose only 1cm on the X axis, but (as you can see on the with/without pictures) the improvement to the printing is really worth it. :)

First of all, install the hot end support front part to the big top fanduct piece, with the 2 M3x20 bolts and nuts, then install the bottom fanduct part with the 2 M3x10 bolts and nuts. Plug the radial fan wires to D9 on the MKS Gen board : this will allow your G-code to turn it on/off at the speed you want with M106/M107 comma
