Smoke alarm printer power shutdown

(This is a do at your own risk project... I didn't do proper research on all the hardware.
For example the smoke alarm is tripling the voltage input and sending like 8v into the 3v relay trigger and I am not sure what the relay trigger chip range is spec'd to run at)
A variation on the henryarnold smoke sensor power killer.
Hopefully, there will be smoke before the printer catches on fire and this is supposed to shut down the power supplies.
Fairly simple setup, a smoke alarm that outputs some voltage to trigger a relay which interrupts the power supplies on circuit. Although this works I am a bit confused whats happening with the voltage output. I am inputting 3.3v into the smoke alarm but it appears to be stepping the voltage up to 9.x volts.
6.16.19 ended up installing 2 relays to add latching function.
I tried a couple relays that claimed to be latching but they way they worked was that they toggled on and off with a flip flo
