Another basal polypod is known as the Snaptrapper. This organism has 6 limbs and is specialized to hunt and kill wheeled animals. The snaptrapper seeks out abiotic plankton using its multiple eyes to get an omni-directional view. Then, it buries itself in the substrate, be it sand or metallic dirt. The species can sense vibrations within the ground, and can sense whenever a car animal is coming. When the car is right above the specimen, it leaps upward and grabs onto the animal's leg using its hooks. The straight, "stumpy" legs are then pushed against the wheels of the animal, slowing it down until it eventually tires (pun intended). Once the host is exhausted, the snap trapper will consume the body by tearing or snapping off small c
