Simple snowboard bench vise that clamps to a tabletop surface. Horizontal Mounting:Lay a snowboard horizontally on the top surface for waxing or base repairs. One half of the top surface can be adjusted to better support extra wide bases. Adjusts from a minimum width of about 7.5 inches to a maximum width of about 8.5 inches. The sliding top surface incorporates a built-in stop and center-channel pocket to prevent overextension. A threaded knob and nut can be used to clamp the center-channel, effectively locking the top surface in place after making a width adjustment. The vises also work well for supporting small surfboards while doing ding repairs. Vertical Mounting:A snowboard can also be placed vertically in the vise for edge tuning. The sliding top surface can be set to the minimum width while the snowboard is vertical and then clamped at the center-channel to secure the snowboard. The maximum object width for vertical clamping is about 0.75 inches. Design Notes:The vise is design
