This is my first thing on Thingiverse! Please be gentle :D
I designed a soap dish with a lid, a hex-shelf, and a drain hole. The idea is to create a soap dish that keeps out shower water when closed and keeps the soap from touching any water. The lid is held by two hinges which work using two ball joints. There is a retaining notch in the front to keep the lid shut. On the right side, there is a drain hole to let the water out.
The hinge is designed to print separately and snap together afterwards (requires a bit of force, but is secure). The tolerance of the hinge and notch are fairly small, so make sure your printer extrusion is tuned well beforehand. I included the f3d file so anyone can redesign the tolerances or replace the text with whatever else. I printed this in PETG, but since this is a low-wear object, I'm sure most regular filaments would be fine. I've printed this hinge with PLA before and it works fine. Sorry for the bad pics; it's hard to photograph detail on a bl
