I took the ‘alligator clip’ part of the original model, and cloned it, and turned it around to form the bit that clasps the top of the C6 bulbs. Getting the ‘grip’ size just right was a trial and error challenge. I also added a bit to hold the wires in place and added some additional width to parts I thought would be under stress. Most, if not all, of the other soffit clips on Makerworld for Christmas lights hold the wire, not the bulb. Bulbs tend to bend and twist every which way and look ‘untidy’. My design holds the bulb horizontally, firmly in place, nice and neat. I have two designs - one points ‘in’, the other points ‘out’. I alternate them when deploying the string of lights. A typical string of C6 lights is 25 bulbs. The plate has six of each style, and can hold a few more. I use PLA as that is what I have, and it seems to work just fine.
