This 3D model of the Solar Motion Demonstrator is designed for educational outreach. The model can demonstrate the Sun's daily path above the local horizon for northern latitudes for various times of the year. Original design was due to Dr. Joseph L. Snider, Oberlin College, 1992. The STL file gives the 3D modelling parts and assembly is needed. There are various online articles and videos explaining the use of the Solar Motion Demonstrator. The National Science Teaching Association has a very good write up at https://static.nsta.org/extras/pbl-earth-space/SolarMotionDemonstratorInstructions.pdfAuthor/Origin/License: G.
