Inspired by Enif's solar panel, I tested this one to 2.34 amps 5 volts before the voltage began to drop. (Full sun no clouds)
!IMPORTANT! YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ENIF"S TWO OTHER SOLAR PANEL HOLDERS!
Because this is a remix, I only included the xt60 connector solar panel holder that I modified. (and of course, the electronics box) The other two panels have not been changed, so i didnt want to reupload them here.
Its basically the same as Enif's project, although the guts are located in the box. The idea to this is you can make the wires for the panels long, so you won't have to expose your expensive electronics or yourself to unpleasant weather.
I had the idea for the changes to the design while working the top station of a ski lift that lacked 120v ac power, and I wanted to charge my phone, radio, etc. Works very well for off the grid shacks where you can put the panels on the roof, and run the power cables through a window.
