A Solarigraph is a very long exposure (often 6 months) of the path of the Sun, though foreground objects are also visible. The most common container used for a camera is a soda can, and the most common method for mounting them is the use of zip ties. Unfortunately the zip ties force a delicate balance between crushing the can, and not having enough contact to keep the can from moving. These holders are intended to solve that problem. They hold the can gently over a large surface area to prevent crushing the can, and provided enough friction to stop the can from moving. Since some people prefer the camera to move some, a "half height" version is available which will allow some movement.

The holders have several mounting options. They have screw holes in the back side, the bottom, slots oriented two different ways for zip ties (which won't put pressure on the cans), and the option to use stakes stuck into the ground.
