Solder wire stand - 450g spools

20241221 update: Please note, this version will fit “Kaina” brand spools (including the “blue Kaina”) and likely will not fit Kester or other brands - the shaft diameter is different between those. As I don't have any Kester spools on hand I cannot update the model as I will not have anything to test it with and I don't want to release an untested model… This is a very compact solder wire spool holder. I was aiming for the smallest footprint possible - my bench space is is not very generous. I do use 450g spools solder wire, mostly the ones known as “Blue Kaina”. I also have a habit of moving solder wire spool around my bench, depending on the device under test. So this minimalistic solder wire stand was born. The spool shaft is hollow but does have bottom, so it's a round 15mm ID holder for whatever you want (flux spatula, tweezers, screwdriver, etc.). Shaft's OD is 20.5mm.
