Fume extractor housing for a PC fan, great for soldering. Includes designs for both 120mm and 140mm fans. Works for both 3-pin and 4-pin fans, just connect the 12V and ground pins. The speed-sense and PWM control pins do not need to be connected.
I recommend using at least a 2000rpm fan to get adequate pull. I am using a 140mm Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM and it works well from 8-12 inches (20-30cm) away.
Required hardware:
(1) 120mm or 140mm fan
(8) [PC fan screws](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07486SHKB)
(1) 12VDC power adapter
(1) [DC barrel jack](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073W4V9VB) - panel hole 8mm diameter
(1) [Power switch](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B2S5QYN) - panel hole 12mm x 18.7mm
(1) [3-pin](https://www.amazon.com/ExtremeMod-Computer-Connector-Y-Splitter-Adapter/dp/B00DU8ZZ0O) or [4-pin](https://www.amazon.com/Ecoolbuy-Connector-Extension-Computer-5-Pack/dp/B01FFFHDKO) fan connector
Wire and soldering tools
(Optional) Heat shrink tubi
