SolidCore CoreXY 3D Printer
Designed By 3D Distributed
Shane Hooper
rØyvind Sætre Amundsen
The plan is to design a modular 3d printer that has the following design goals:
CoreXY Kinematics
Simple but Compact Design
Scalable - large format 3d printer build or small mini 3d printer
XYZ-Axis Linear Rails
BOM Parts List uses standard and available 3d printer parts commonly used so people can convert their printer into a SolidCore.
Enclosed or Available Enclosure
All Metal Parts or printable or Laser Cut Options
Open Source
Lightweight Gantry for High Speed 3D Printing
Kinematic Coupled Bed
Triple Z-axis or 3-Point Bed Leveling
Belt Driven Z-Axis
Direct Drive or Bowden Extruder
DIY Build Plans
Crossed Belt Path or can be modified to HBot Kinematics
ToolChanger or Available Tool Changing Option
High Temperature 3D Printing
Community Driven Design
We’ll probably make some changes such as reorienting the the y-axis linear rail into a vertical position similar to t
