Somber Mask

Here's my Halloween mask.
It's my original design, heavily influenced by African and Polynesian styles.

Feel free to try this for yourself. See instructions below. You'll need some straps or string, but I included places for it to attach. Get some superglue to attach the plastic bar. There's a place to attach it behind the mask near the top. It holds the strap in place. I know it seems strange, but if I made that piece connect, I wouldn't be able to remove support material from a particular spot.

Remember, this is also fun as a small display piece.

I'll share updates if I make it more ornate and/or ergonomic.

For the black piece, I did a little g-code experiment, and made it all goopy like a monster of tar or oil. I didn't want to dilute the texture by applying paint to this particular one, but next one I'll probably go with my blender color scheme: red & blue. I would love to see anyone else's color scheme. :)
