This is my second version of a printable box/case. The hinges are printed separate, and press fit into the box fo the layer lines give them strength, and are designed to pivot around an m3x20 screw. (well, up to 23mm long.) The lid opens to 120 degrees, and the latch holds rather well in my experiments. The latch is also printed separate for strength, and can be retained by an m3x5 button head screw for replaceability.
Due to the nature of press fit parts, you may need to apply horizontal offset to get them to work with your printer. My test print was done with the top and bottom portions of the box printed with -0.1mm horizontal offset, and no offset applied to the hinges or latch.
You'll need to print the hinges upright with supports, I found that using standard supports in the 'grid' pattern with support interface worked well. The hinges initially go together extremely stiff, but after working them for a couple minutes they smooth out.
