Here Is a toy Space Soldier I designed. It's suppose to be a more modern interpretation of the classic green plastic army men.
I prefer to print them at 90% scale (they end up being about 40mm tall that way) As I feel that is the best size. I also find it easiest to print them in two halves then glue them together using "loctite" super glue. After that I Paint them using "Testors" model paint that I buy from hobby lobby.
