Spacer for Electronics

This is a simple hollow and vented spacer for stacking electronics in a cabinet. If you have a FiOS box, for example, and it sits on a Blu Ray or old school sound system or DVD player, the stacked electronics can get hot. This spacer is designed to nest over the rubber feet on the bottom of a FiOS box, and lift it about 1 inch (25mm) off whatever is underneath it.

I have done no testing of temperatures before and after, but it is reasonable to assume a 1" air gap would help lessen direct heating by the component below. The overall cabinet will still get warm of course, but this may help.
