Spark Spinner

My son wanted a BeyBlade. I thought I could create something more exciting. I have created two version of spinning top. One with eight lighter flint inserted and one with M3 screws. Put two spinning tops on the "battle arena" with at least one with lighter flint and you will be excited to see sparks when they interact.

To assemble, you need a 18mm M3 screw at the centre. You can put eight or four 8mm M3 screw at the sides to increase the weight and to create sparks. For flint version, install eight flint at the sides and fix with 8mm M3 screws. DO NOT over-tighten the screws. You may also consider using heat sets to increase the weight further.

To start the spinning top, I created a coupler to attach to a battery-powered rotary tool. Remove the metal chuck of the rotary tool and screw in the coupler. The second video shows how to start the spinning top.
