Hi,
I'm playing with my Dolby audio setup.
Currently it is running in 7.1 configuration, but I decided to give it a go and try with front height (zone B) speakers as most of movies (if not all) on streaming platforms have 5.1 soundtrack.
I can see that it is quite popular to have speakers on standard height and pointed up instead of mounting them on a celling.
As this is easier and better solution for me, I have designed simple bracket to lift the speakers that I have of the columns (clearance for a cable) and point them straight up.
When I will have some speakers wire, I'm going to connect them and try.
It is possible that this model will be V2 soon as usually speakers are angled instead of going straight up (as I did).
When I will test them and do some research about the angles, I might create a new version and update this post or add as a second design, so you can choose what suits you the best.
Yes, I know, I do have crappy cheap amazon speakers, but they do the job for now
