There is Sphere or Planetary Gears toy (version 4). Based on a truncated octahedron.
It consists of one core, 8 30-teeth gears (silver), 4 20-teeth gears (gold), 2 finger gears (golden) and 14 pins.
Note! Each golden gear has 4 silver gears as a neighbour. Each silver gear has 3 golden gears as a neighbour.
You may insert pins into core first and then connect gears. Or connect pins and gears together and then insert it into core.
You should use a lubricant (e. g. teflon or silicone grease) into holes for smooth rotation.
I used 0.6 mm nozzle and only 2 walls for print. Core has no infill at all. But in slicer you should use Top and Bottom shell thickness equal 1.2 mm.
You should use "Precise wall" and "Precise Z height" options in your slicer. This is extremely important! You should use variable layer height and 100% fill for more smooth surface of gears. You should place a core on the plate as is (see photo) and use 5 mm brim at least.
