I made this in Solidworks using Equation Driven Curves with the equation:
x = 3*((1-t^2)^.5)*cos(10*3.14*t)
y = 3*((1-t^2)^.5)*sin(10*3.14*t)
z = 3*t
from -1 to 1
x = 3*((1-t^2)^.5)*cos(10*3.14*t)
y = 3*((1-t^2)^.5)*sin(10*3.14*t)
z = 3*t
from -1 to 1
