I procured a Chinese CNC 1610 GRBL engraver to use to make printed circuit boards. There is also an option to get an laser module for engraving and thought that I might as well get the laser module to play around with.
The concern was that I wanted to keep my wiring together i.e. I didn't want to have to remove either the laser module or the spindle completely from the machine each time I switched tools. I wanted to keep it on the machine so that I can keep my wiring tied together and neat.
So I designed this little holder that slots into a T-Slot. Either the spindle or the laser module can be stored in it when not in use. The holder rests on a plastic piece of the machine and I've used one of my T-slot cover clips (10mm version) to clip in above the holder to hold it firmly in place.
You can use two of the T-slot clips if you don't have a plastic piece below the holder that
will prevent it from slipping down.
