inspired by the spiral fidget toy, my brain immediately went to 'blowgun'.
i might tweak it later to function better but im sure one of you out there is a total pro at blowgun stuff. so print it out & play with it & give me your input
i designed it to slip into a 1" schedule 40 pvc pipe. this should let you add length if desired. the outside diameter is 1.029" so you might be able to use a carbon fiber with a little sanding. if you use scaling in your software then keep the Z axis the way it is.(it affects the twist rate) the twist rate is approximately 180 degrees per inch.
the projectile is scaled down to 85% in the X & Y axis. ide say its pretty generous tolerance but it is what works with my printer. tighter tolerances might add more speed.
the projectile is the approximate profile of a rifle bullet. my thinking is that the spiral will give it more range by adding some thrust because its effectively a flying Archimedes' screw
i print the projectile in vase mode to s
