Split Flap Display - Metal Dowel mod

This is a mod for Morgan Manley's Split Flap Display that uses 4mm x 18mm dowel pins for the main character drum gear instead of relying on 3d printed surfaces which tend to be susceptible to binding. I used the 4mm x 18mm shelf pins here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQP9ZYRS but anything of a comparable size should work as well. Printing a new sandwich plate is optional. It simply closes off the middle hole to retain the final pin. Alternately, a bit of tape should work as well on the original part.
