For this Halloween, I was looking for a fun way to create an essential oil diffuser cauldron like a few products that exist already on the market. I couldn't find any good analogs for 3D printing, so I decided to remix this wonderful cauldron design by sifugreg, add a bit of extra detailing with the gorgeous pattern ring by MaeLee.
As for diffusers, I chose the 130ml round LED "flame style" on Amazon:
(ASIN# is B0BF4Y3B1D, and is called the "Rican Aromatherapy Diffusers, Flame Aroma Diffuser").
This project needed:
- 6 5x2mm round magnets
- superglue
Steps:
- Print all parts.
- Glue in 3 magnets on both cauldron halves, so they can snap together.
- Glue the liquid top around the edge of the cauldron top.
- Glue the power button over the diffuser's power button.
Advice:
I used variable layer heights in PrusaSlicer to preserve as much detail for the patterned rings as possible, but kept the other layers higher to reduce print time.
I also used "fuzzy skin" in
