This is my first upload (please be kind, lol)!
I have noticed that even with an upgraded extruder assembly, there is an unnecessary amount of drag when you try to just pull the PLA from the spool holder on my Ender 3. This super-simple adapter slides over the factory spool holder and just makes the spools roll easier (it's just a matter of the spool now hanging from closer to center than before) while still keeping it from sliding off. No tools or adjustments required, Just slide on the spool holder and enjoy less strain on your extruder assembly!
The I.D. is 37mm and the O.D. of the spool area is 52mm. The overall length is 85mm. I printed at 40mm/sec and .1mm layer height with a brim and using a .4mm nozzle.
I use the coated glass heated bed and it adhered perfectly all 3 times I have printed it. My machine failed me towards the top of the print the first two times, but I think that is a matter of the repeated drag and retraction doing all the infill. I am currently printin
