A simple gauge to determine how much filament is left on a spool. Not all spools have a built-in scale, and those that do seem only print the scale on one side... which, for me, always seems to be the side I can't see when it's on the printer! It's a quick sanity check to see if you've enough left for that model you're just about to print.

It's simple to use: Rest the gauge on the spool rim, line up with a gap in the spool, and read off the (estimated) amount of filament remaining. There no text or scale on this gauge, just simple cut-outs - showing 800g, 600g, 400g & 200g of remaining filament.

It works with all 200mm spools with a 80mm hub, which is pretty much the industry standard for 1kg spools these days. I've checked the calibration on a couple of marked spools from different vendors and it matches, so it's as accurate as those.

It's not as accurate as weighing part-used spools, but who has the time to do that! LOL
