Just above my two 3D printers are some wall mounted shelves with brackets. Tired of trying to get behind the Makerbot the change the spool, I took an old piece of 1" PVC conduit and created an axle on which I can put spools of filament above the printers.
Print them in a fairly solid form so they are strong enough to bear the weight of the spools.
* print 6 bolts
* print 2 end stops
* print 2 clamps
* print 2 bracket adapters
OR
just print the one file that has all the parts
HEY! I want to give credit to the creator of the bolt and threaded socket that I used in this design. However, the STL files had been sitting around on my machine for more than a year and I don't know where they came from. If you recognize it, give me a shout so I can give attribution to the deserving designer...
