Spool tube planter base

I have recently been looking into using cardboard for recyclable planters and making framework for that to become a reality, I created this one to utilize a spool roll and thought it was quite nice. I added drainage and a weep hole to keep the cardboard from sitting in water and deteriorating too quickly. I know cardboard isn't a long term sustainable option but most of my efforts are going to sprouting and early growth containers that are reusable, so this cardboard tube does not have to last a significant amount of time but can be used to hold a plant in the intermediate time between planting and sewing in the ground or a larger pot.
