A spoolholder for the 4MAX (not Pro) as a replacement for the stock one. The holder can hold spools up to a width of 95 mm.
I use a variation of this spoolholder for all my printers and it works great. Due to the wide "bed" of the spool-holder the spool wobbles less than it does at the broomstick-like holders.
The bolts are sunken so they can not hook up your spool.
To give it more strength and thanks to the limited space on the 4Max for the spoolholder, I have to extend the spool over the "edge" of the plating. This way the height of the spool is as close as possible as with the original holder. The result is as solid as a plastic rock :)
Mounting tips:
- If the spoolholder does not fit right (plating to thick for one or another reason) and opens up to the bottom near the plating, use washers or the included spacer.
- The original M4x6 mm bolts are too short, use 8 mm ones.
- Use the inlay for a little extra bling.
Happy spoolholding :)
