SquareShift – The Infinite Folding Fidget Toy Meet SquareShift, a satisfying, fully customisable folding fidget toy designed from scratch! 🔲 Featuring a smooth articulated design, SquareShift transforms seamlessly into different shapes. The connected geometric pieces move effortlessly in your hands, giving you a tactile, mechanical experience that’s impossible to put down. ✨ Features: 🖨️ Easy 3D Print: Print-friendly parts designed with precision geometry. 🧩 Modular & Expandable: Want a bigger puzzle? Print extra pieces and pegs to make your SquareShift as large as you want! 🔄 Multiple Configurations: Smoothly folds and transforms into different shapes. ⚙️ Articulated Movement: Satisfying mechanical movement designed to keep your hands busy. 🔧 Fun DIY Assembly: Easy to put together using a bit of standard 1.75mm filament as hinge pins. 🔧 Assembly Instructions Base Setup: Arrange all main body pieces (excluding the pegs) in a square layout (Diagram). Vertical Pegs: Connect the pieces together and secure them by inserting the pegs with holes into the vertical hinge slots. Hinge Locking: Line up the hole in each peg with the corresponding hole in the outer piece. Thread a small length of 3D printing filament through ONE hole per piece to lock it in place. (Note: Do not put filament in both holes of a single piece, or the joint won't be able to fold!) Horizontal Pegs: Insert the pegs without holes into the horizontal slots (these do not require filament pins). Scale It Up! Repeat the pattern with extra printed pieces to expand your SquareShift into a giant fidget matrix. 💡 The idea of this design was inspired by the Infinity Triangle Flip Fidget Toy by AbyssalCactus, giving me the idea to create a unique square-based geometry from scratch. If you print and build one—especially a mega-sized version—I’d love to see your makes! Enjoy and happy printing! 😄
