Sturdy Shelf Bracket – Shelf Support 170 mm (17 × 17 cm) with direct access holes Now in 2 versions: Access hole Ø10 (long bit) or Ø15 (bit holder/more space).“   Since I'm currently rebuilding and optimizing my printer workspace, I needed a shelf directly above the table – as storage for filament and everything you want to have close at hand. The shelf should be able to support at least approx. 20 kg (filament & co.) and accommodate a 20 cm deep board as precisely as possible.   For this, I designed a shelf bracket with a 170 mm leg length (wall and board side) and printed and assembled it three times. For additional stiffening, there is a centered middle web, and all corners are provided with radii. The screw holes are slightly countersunk so that the screw heads do not protrude.   Update: Two versions with different access holes (Ø10 and Ø15mm) … after there were a few constructive comments from community members who didn't have the right long bits on hand…    For mounting and marking, I integrated continuous access holes – as tool access for bits/screwdrivers (and if in doubt, a pencil also fits through for marking). Since tools vary greatly (long bit vs. bit holder, slim vs. thick screwdriver), the holder is now available in two versions: Shelf Bracket-170mm – Ø10 mm Access Hole Standard version for many long bits and slimmer screwdrivers Shelf Bracket-170mm – Ø15 mm Access Hole Extra space for bit holders and thicker screwdrivers – much “easier” to position Tip: If you work with a bit holder or your tool is rather robust in the feed-through area, use the 15mm version.   Assembly (example from my assembly) Board side: per bracket 2× 4×20 mm wood screws Wall side: per bracket 2× 5×40 mm wood screws TIP: use an extra long bit - as seen in my photos - (150mm Bit-Set) Please ensure that the wall, drill holes, and wall plugs match the intended load. As a small practical test, I also had a 6 kg kettlebell on the shelf.   Updates 14.03.2026 Description text adjusted a
