Stack-O-mirrors Heliostat

Mirrors are stacked inside an enclosure and deployed by raising two scissor lifts with stepper motors. The enclosure has a top cover and a front cover with PV cells. The model shown has about 11 square meters of mirror surface but is scalable by adding more panels or by increasing the width of the unit. There are solar tracking sensors in the top two front corners which are tied to the tilt and rotate mechanism. This is just a basic concept and many of the details such as control units, cover latches, springs, batteries, wiring, insulation etc. have not been shown. The mirrors should also have the capability of being folded down back into the enclosure if necessary.
