Beam-Interlocked TPU + PETG Stackable Coaster – Print-in-Place Hybrid This was an experiment in leveraging Bambu Lab's beam interlocking technology. This coaster showcases a dual-material design made possible using Bambu Lab’s beam interlocking technology — the PETG body and the flexible TPU grip layer mechanically anchor into each other as they’re printed, resulting in a single fused part with no adhesives, and no post-assembly. The goal of the PETG frame is to create a stable, heat-resistant platform for cups and tumblers, while the soft TPU is strategically woven into the structure. I also generated a custom surface texture on the bottom, for extra friction to reduce slipping on smooth tables, counters, or desks.
