Decorative and functional (comfortable) end-caps for standard wooden stair rails.
I can't believe nobody manufactures things like this, they make the rails look much better and more comfortable to use.
I think number 2 works best, 1 is a little too big. 4 is interesting.
Definitely print with 100% fill or at least 4 outer layers and 50% fill for strength, trust me people will lean on these things.
To attach, I found that applying flexible caulk (like silicone) to the hole walls works best, holds tight and allows for wood expansion without cracking the ball.
