This is a dock for a Surface Pro with Type Cover, which has a place to position the Surface Connect cable of the Surface Dock 2, so that the computer can slide right in and connect to the dock. The slot for the tablet is 13.9mm wide, and fits my Surface Pro 5th Gen with Type Cover attached. Will likely fit Surface Pro 3, 4, 6, and 7 as well, with a Type Cover attached. Slot will be too big without type cover, so you will need to shim it or remix it, being careful not to scratch the screen in that case.

Tolerances may be tight on the Surface Connect connector depending on how your printer is tuned, so be aware that this may cause slight scratches on the connector depending on how it prints. There is a hole in back of the connector mount to poke a pencil eraser or similar object through to remove the connector from the mount.
