Standing Octopus - NO AMS

This adorable octopus is a fun, simple print that looks great as a desk buddy or display piece! It’s printed in two halves with separate tiny eyes, giving it a playful personality. To make the legs stronger and reduce the need for supports, I had to slice the model into two halves. This does leave a visible seam/gap where the pieces join, but it can be disguised with a clever color change. Start printing with black filament, then pause at layer 6 and switch to blue, green, or any color you like — this creates a neat dark band around the middle that helps hide the join. I haven’t filled the gap myself, so I can’t comment on how filler would look. The eyes are very small and a bit fiddly to glue in, but worth the patience for the final look!
