A boring afternoon, some brilliant Star Wars illustrations by José Pulido, and a 3D printer; with those three ingredients, I bring these 100x100x2 mm themed plaques to the community. But it was clear I couldn't settle for just the plaques; I had to hang them on the wall, so I designed a simple yet effective frame to show them off to the world. The plaques are divided into objects so you can combine the colors however you like (tip: use fluorescent filament for the lightsabers). The frame is designed to be scalable; it has slots on all four sides for dovetail joints, included in the frame's build plate. Both the joints and the artwork space are 0 tolerance for the best possible fit. Feel free to apply some kind of contact adhesive for extra security. If this type of printing works in the community, I'll expand the illustration base to other topics using existing frameworks. So: Boost Me (for free) If you liked it Considerations for printing: 1- Since each drawing is divided into colorable objects, you can play with the depth of each part, achieving different relief effects. 2- Remove the print when the bed is cool, as this will prevent warping. 3-The best finish for plates is achieved by printing upside down, this way there's no need to iron them, and if you do it on a flat plate the finish will be perfect. In the model presentation, I've placed them face up so you can see them and select the ones you want to print. Rotate them before doing so. The plate used as an example has given me problems from the beginning and is the only one that has to be printed face up and ironed.
