Project Description: This study showcases a Static Nodal Stress Analysis conducted on a mechanical support component. The goal was to evaluate the structural integrity and identify potential failure points under combined loading conditions. Analysis Details: Method: von Mises Stress distribution. Loads: Vertical compression on the cylinder and lateral pressure on the reinforcement rib. Fixtures: Rigidly fixed base (Cantilever simulation). Key Findings: Stress Concentration: The highest stress is observed at the junction between the rib and the base due to bending moments. Safety Margin: The simulation shows that the maximum stress reached 629 MPa, which slightly exceeds the material Yield Strength of 620 MPa. Mechanical Behavior: The part shows a tendency for plastic deformation at the lower edge of the rib under current load parameters. Improvement Strategies: Increasing the fillet radius to reduce stress concentration. Thickening the rib geometry to enhance overall stiffness. Evaluating alternative high-strength materials.
