Steam punk clock

The design was done for a competition at our local maker space - (http://www.binaryspace.co.za/). The competition is divided into 2 challenges:

Challenge Part 1:

Design a single sided pcb that functions as a clock.

Challenge Part 2:

Design a 3d printed enclosure for a 10cm in diameter clock pcb.

To challenge myself I decided to focus on the design part. The steam punk clock is what I come up with.

The core of the clock is assembled with M3 bolts. The parts on the face of the clock is glued with abs slurry to the core assembly of the clock. There are led's at the bottom of the tubes (from a children s chemical set) to light them up.
