I designed this desk lamp using Onshape CAD software and printed it with my Ender 3 FDM Printer. Assembling is done using 31 M4x16mm and one M4x25mm cylinder screws. For the steampunk effect I painted it with Iron Rust Paint and finally I installed a 5V LED strip.
Additionally I used an Arduino Nano for the fade effects using a BC337 NPN transistor and a 10kOhm resistor, some (very few) soldering skills are needed then.
The lamp consists of 10 parts, each part has to be printed once. No support is needed. I used a 0.35mm Nozzle and a Layer height of 0.16mm. No rotation or positioning of parts is needed for printing.
Cable keying and attachment of the Arduino board is done using a small bracket which can be omitted if you don’t need it.
For painting I used a iron rust effect set of ochre brown color, painting was done after assembling the lamp.
I used a 5V self-adhesive LED strip of warm-white color for the lighting, it can be cut to fit well into the lamp. My LEDs dra
