A couple things to know first:
1) I'm not using LEDs like the original. I just painted all of the printed parts copper.
2) I fully disassemble and clean my perlick taps obsessively.
The original model for the bottom piece required you to disassemble a significant part of the tap handle to remove it from the tap. Specifically you had to remove at least the bottom three cap nuts from the threaded rod to access the internal nut securing the bottom piece to the faucet. Since I'm not using LEDs I don't need the additional holes on the bottom of the bottom piece. All I did was add a threaded cylinder. This way I can screw the tap handle directly on to the faucet. The threaded cylinder is way overbuilt because I just threw it together rather than measuring. When actually printing I cut the height of the cylinder in half, and you could also probably decrease the OD to drop the cylinder wall thickness by 50% and be fine.
For me, the threads were tight but usable. However, to decrease forc
