Stepper cooling fan 5015 blower

this is a cooling duct that fits on a 40x40x11mm heatsink, I used a drill tap to slightly drill out the hole and tap it to fit a m3x6mm screw.

i have used only 2 screws to hold it to the heatsink without issue.
i used some cheap 5015 fans that i got from aliexpress for 1usd each.

print it standing up with supports. I used a 20mm m3 bolt to hold the fan to the duct, the fan and heatsink is a snug fit.

i have gotten a drastic reduction in temps using this setup i saw a 37c drop in temps on the XY steppers on my VZbot during speed runs. normal printing the steppers now run around 10c above ambient.

if your steppers are running hot and you want a cheap solution, give this a try and let me know how it works for you. i printed it from PLA and its held up fine for about 2 months at the time of posting. i would recommend PETG or better if you are using an enclosure.
