I designed this hanger attachment to allow me to hang up my STIHL Kombi motor. I tried an insert, but this wasn't quite as secure as I wanted. The simple solution became obvious when I realised that the tightening knob could be undone to slip a bracket over the cylindrical base of the knob. The knob can be a little difficult to unscrew because it seems to have a thread lock applied. As for the bracket, I wanted something more substantial than a screw (although a coach bolt would have done the job), so I designed the bracket and screwed in an M8 countersunk screw that I had available, then secured the bracket with 2 decent-sized screws to the joist under my house. I have been using the hanger for a month or so, and it doesn't get in the way when using any of the Kombi attachments. It's proven very convenient to hang up the tool when finished.
