This is a remix of the box by jprofesorek, with a lattice of holes punched in the box and the lid to allow for cross stitching. The box itself is sized to fix two rows of embroidery floss on standard skeins, with nine or ten skeins per row. The holes are three quarters of a millimeter in diameter and are spaced to make a grid of eight stitches per inch. I also thinned the box and lid substantially, both to save filament and to make it easier to get a needle through.
I'd like to do some more messing around with this design, to see if I can get the holes smaller and closer together without causing structural issues, but I don't have time at the moment.
