Stop Motion Winder Rig

This stop-motion winder rig is designed to work with the metal arm of a standard “third hand” (helping hands) tool. The height can be adjusted precisely using the rack mechanism, and the head module attaches firmly to the metal arm of the third hand. This keeps everything stable, wobble-free, and easy to reposition—ideal for animation, detailed work, and consistent setups. The rig is fully 3D-printable and only requires a few standard parts. It provides a solid base, simple handling, and precise adjustment without complicated mechanics. Perfect for stop-motion animation, miniatures, model building, or as a versatile holder for delicate work. You can use silicone grease for lubrication. You need: - M3x20mm x4 - M3x25mm x1 - M3x10mm x1 - M3 Nuts x5 - M3 heat-set insert nut The holder for the rod has a 9 mm hole. This is the first version, so I’m open to anything.
