Storage Bin Rain Guard Cable Duct

I wanted to put my solar generator battery in a rain-proof container to 'safely' leave it outside. I decided to go with a plastic storage container with a latching lid. Then I needed to be able to route cables into the container.

This cable duct and backplate can be used together with M4 x 12mm bolts and nylon lock nuts. Use a sealant or gasket behind the duct unit to increase water tightness.

The backplate also works well as a template for cutting and drilling the holes through the container (and the gasket).

I printed in ASA for better outdoor weathering, but PLA will likely work just fine also.
