Hold down soil anchor for the propagation of strawberry runners (suckers). Use this to pin down the runners at the end of the season for new plants next year.
This is a U shaped clip that prints flat on the bed with minimal geometry for reliable mass production. This part is deliberately simple. A spiked tip helps insertion while a 6 degree angling of the arms helps to anchor into the soil. Other strawberry peg examples have a hook like design, I have opted for two spikes to double to holding power in the soil and provide flexibility in anchoring the plant. See pictures for examples of usage. A scaled up version would work wells as an irrigation tubing anchor.
Examples were printed with PLA, which should be good enough for a season or two. PLA isn't UV stable so use in climates like Australia may be limited to a couple of seasons. Other PLA I have used has survived in partial shade for a few years.
Print flat -- that is, horizontal -- with 15% infill (Gyroid). Use standard PLA set
