When my wife mentioned she wanted a little desktop bin with a gold rim, I started checking amazon. Nothing felt quite right.Why not print it? I fired up Onshape and sketched the trash can that she had been asking for. (She said she liked it at least haha.) I knew I didn’t want tiny screws or metal pins, as I wanted it to be fully 3d printed. Ans so, a single strand of PLA filament threads through matching eyelets in the lid and body, creating a hinge that pivots smoothly every time. No hardware, no glue, zero fuss—just snap-together simplicity.Now it lives on our counter, collecting spent tea bags and empty drink-mix packets.
