Succulent Novatrope

A 3D Zoetrope designed using the Fibonacci sequence and golden spiral.

This was our first implementation of dynamic animation frames when designing the sculptures, so the movement isn't perfectly smooth. Is it a feature or a bug? You decide!

The mounting point is designed for a standard snap-locking DVD motor. It is designed with bottom slots to allow light into the chamber, which is a feature of our Hex Strobe Docks and Wooden Strobe Docks. It was then printed in Natural clear PLA to allow light to diffuse through the plastic from within.

If designing a motorized strobe dock of your own, it can also be printed in a colored plastic and bathed under white or colored strobe lights from above. Strobe Docks can also be purchased on our website at https://www.novatropes.com
